This position has accountability for oversight and management of a specific vendor contract in Provider Network Management.  This includes managing day to day operations for all activities related to the vendor’s contract and optimizing contract performance. Additionally, this individual supports the implementation of new programs and program enhancements by providing day to day support to the Business Owner of any EPMO and IT projects associated with the vendor contract managed by this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the subject matter expert and point of communication including coordination with all internal business units for all issues related to the EmblemHealth Lease Network vendors.
  • Responsible for “end to end” contract management which includes performing all pre-contractual and implementation activities,  development of contract performance standards and associated penalties, root cause analysis, facilitating monthly invoices and payments, and ongoing monitoring / oversight.  This includes actively supporting all related Delegation Oversight Committee processes.
  • Coordinates the optimization of current contracts. Engages vendor and internal business units to review opportunities and assists in business case development, savings opportunity analysis, and creation of EPMO or IT related projects.
  • Coordinates system enhancements and process improvements resulting in savings and associated efficiencies.  This includes assisting in the development of cross functional teams and coordinating with IT and other areas to implement identified enhancements.
  • Conducts various vendor related analyses and ad hoc projects, as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferred in health care or business
  • Master’s Degree a plus, but not required
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in health care, or other relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, managed care and health plan operations
  • Experience in managing large, complex contracts
  • Ability to prioritize complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft product suite
  • Knowledge of EmblemHealth claims operating platforms and CPF systems (desirable, but not required)
