Senior Accreditation Specialist
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care, business or related field required or as substitute, Associates degree with 3 years’ experience in the health industry, or 7 years of experience in the industry
- Master’s degree preferred that applies to health care, managed care/clinical field, organizational psychology, medical or behavioral health, or business as it applies to health care
- Minimum 4-6 years managed care experience required including 3 years accreditation or regulatory experience, i.e. NCQA, URAC, CMS, DFS DOH, etc.
- Management/project management experience required
- Excellent positive interpersonal skills; establish, interact and work effectively in a team environment required
- Detail oriented with strong analytical, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong project management, organizational and time management skills required
- Ability to work independently and be reliable and assertive in prioritizing projects, assignments and responsibilities to meet deadlines required
- Ability to exercise discretion/use independent judgment when obtaining, compiling and distributing information and data required
- Proficiency in MS Office products, e.g. Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Adobe Acrobat or Nuance required
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and negotiating skills paired with strong attention to detail required
- Leadership and management experience within an operation that addresses complex relationships and multiple stakeholders with conflicting goal and priorities required
- Flexible with changes, processes, and procedures to meet the Plan and program needs required
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, build, support, mentor, and monitor teams and the ability to recognize and address positive behaviors that contribute to successful achievement of plan goals required
- Some travel required
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed and independent thinker using independent judgement while being a strong resource and team player to the team required
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working team relationships with business partners, delegation team and department members, and external stakeholders by effectively communicating the Plan and department’s expectation to adhere to accreditation requirements required
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, build, support, mentor, and monitor teams and the ability to recognize and address positive behaviors that contribute to successful achievement of plan goals required
