Marketplace Sales Strategic Analyst
Summary of Position:
- Provide strategic business analysis services to business partners. Work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of department's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates, and the documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges.
- Responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency; lead small to mid-size projects; assist other project managers on larger more complex projects related to operational business functions that affect team members and providers at the market level.
Responsibilities:
- Apply expertise in information systems to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices to support and align efforts to meet department and business needs
- Provide project level analysis: produce required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan); identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive); assess business process and system inefficiencies; support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements
- Lead or participate in multiple projects: complete and update project documentation; manage project scope; adjust schedules when necessary; determine daily priorities; ensure efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; follow proper escalation paths; and manage customer and supplier relationships
- Create and maintain project schedules: develop project plans and specifications, estimate time and resources, monitor milestone completion, track all phases of project lifecycle, provide timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinate actions and resolving conflicts; meet with project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines
- Manage departmental and interdepartmental relationships and expectations by developing a communications process to keep others up-to-date on project results
- Stay current with team needs and strategies; utilize formal and informal written communication methods (for example: emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, updates) to communicate updates and findings; facilitate project meeting sand presentations to all types of diverse audiences; understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
- Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
- Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 4 – 6+ years of relevant, professional work experience required
- Additional experience/specialized training may be considered in lieu of Degree requirement required
- Project Management Certification (PMI) preferred
- Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business required
- Demonstrated track record of effectively managing multiple, simultaneous projects required
- Ability organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines required
- Strong relationship building and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) required
- Understanding of indices, data and analytical fundamentals, returns level data, etc. required
- Experience with data analysis – must have proficiency with Sharepoint, Microsoft Excel required
- Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and updates required

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business considerations. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the work is being performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. Union roles covered by a collective bargaining agreement will compensate in accordance with the union contract.
