Summary:
- Manage and drive activities related to the development and delivery of the Solutions Architecture domain.
- Collaborate with IT & Business leadership and cross-functional IT teams to drive Enterprise Architecture principals enabling business growth and agility.
- Provide solution architecture services to support enterprise project delivery methodology.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other solution architects (including from vendors) to define end to end solutions, detail design elements & proof of concepts and evaluation of the enterprise technologies (including environmental analysis, opportunity identification and value cases with alignment to business innovation portfolio development).
- Provide technical leadership to the team throughout the project lifecycle and regularly communicating new features & benefits to partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT areas to drive project planning for activities related to solution ideation & solution design and work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor & status reporting.
- Drive the architectural aspects of all application projects in peer IT portfolios, contributes to the continuous enhancement of architecture governance structures & methodologies.
- Contribute as a principal team member of the Enterprise Architecture organization, ensuring coordinated technology delivery with enterprise strategies & roadmaps are integrated and aligned with the business strategy & business agility.
- Responsible for the application rationalization roadmap specifically focusing on SOA enabling technologies, drive standardization of common business objects and ensure infrastructure solutions are architected for reusability.
- Provide architectural guidance for application, information management and infrastructure development projects to fit solutions to the reference architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the architectural guidelines to accommodate project needs.
- Research current & emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
- Assist in project production implementation planning.
- Perform other duties as directed or required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field required
- TOGAF or similar Enterprise Architecture certification required.
- PMP or advanced project/program management certification preferred.
- 10+ years of IT experience with a progression towards higher levels of responsibility, including 5 years of architecture/infrastructure development and five years in information architecture strategy and solutions delivery required
- Technically creative and open-minded required
- In-depth understanding of various coding languages, sound knowledge of various operating systems, databases, Cloud infrastructure, etc. required
- In-depth expertise in TriZetto Facets Suite of products and good understanding of all other platform architecture & technology –Sales Force, VLocity Portals, Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM, Integrations, Communications, Infrastructure and Enterprise Data Lake required
- Effective at applying multiple solutions to solve business challenges, drive growth and efficiencies required
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to operate in a core and cross-functional team environments required
- Excellent analytical and technical vision skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent planning and organizational skills required
- Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes required
- Ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions required

- Must take an enterprise architectural approach to solutioning
- Must represent/champion Enterprise architectural principles when solutioning within an IT domain
- Ability to clearly present multiple solution options, benefits, and associated costs to all constituents required
- Clear understanding of difference between operational and analytical needs of data & systems required
- Experience and ability to conduct assessments and develop product recommendations required
- Experience with Relational DB, Cloud, Big Data repository, DBA, ETL Development, BI Development preferred
- Technical working experience with API, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Java/.NET, Big Data, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure preferred
- Experience applying modern Enterprise integration patterns to solve real world business problems required
- Experience with Enterprise Data management systems (MDM, Data Lake, data retention) required
- Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk) and system health reporting required
- Flexible in a fast-paced dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities required
- Experience leading the work of outsource partners (multi-supplier environment) preferred
