Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related.
• Professional credentials (CPA) preferred.

Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 5 – 8+ years of relevant professional work experience in positions of increasing scope, complexity, and responsibility.
• Technical experience with business/corporate accounting utilizing GAAP, SOX, FASB ASC 820, etc.
• Expert level knowledge of investments; expertise with accounting software and systems.
• Health care industry, insurance company investment portfolio, and statutory accounting experience preferred.
• Financial reporting experience to both internal and external entities with analytical skills to develop and interpret financial
analyses.
• Self-starter with ability to take initiative and perform research to identify, analyze, and recommend actionable solutions to
issues.
• Excellent planning, organization, time management, prioritization, problem solving, and multitasking skills to accomplish
deliverables on a timely basis.
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal/relationship building) skills.
• Effective team player with proven track record of collaboration and coordination with other business areas.
• Ability to develop, cultivate, and maintain excellent relationships within, and external to, the Company.
• Proficiency and advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
• Experience in financial process/systems improvement.
• Knowledge of portfolio management and reporting and custodian systems (i.e., PFS, Bloomberg, Moody’s Analytics).
