  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced medical economics analytics, including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics and machine learning algorithm & recommendations.
  • Analyze data using statistical techniques and provide reports for implementation by senior leadership.
  • Conducts statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modeling, and simulations according to a statistical analysis plan and develops reports, tables, visualizations and other supporting documentation to disseminate findings to business. 
  • Deploys forecasting applications or predictive models through various mechanisms.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering from internal and external sources, specifying requirements, processing, compiling, validating and modelling data; ensures deliverables are met and prepares presentations.
  • Design, develop and execute queries of databases using standard computer tools, and develop additional databases as necessary to complete queries.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in developing relevant data quality KPIs, Standards and reports.
  • Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain data systems.
  • Maintain department database master files, including resolving split records, verifying data base update reports, etc.
  • Filter and clean data.    
  • Interface with Department staff concerning the database and work with IT in the evaluation of systems and to recommend changes and upgrades.
  • Develop, document and implement data controls necessary for the administration of the department on-line data processing systems.
  • Integrate the transfer of data information to other teams within the department and across the company. 
  • Supervise the design and preparation of various statistical reports.
  • Review and revise the way statistics and information, pertaining to the department are gathered, organized and processed.    
  • Ensures data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including data sourcing/collection, ground truth generation, normalization, and transformation.    
  • Solves non-routine, inter-disciplinary analysis problems by applying advanced analytical methods as needed.    

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in either information systems, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, data science, econometrics, computer science or other statistics related degree required
  • 4 – 6 years’ experience in Lead Data Science Analyst role or similar position required
  • Thorough knowledge ability to apply statistical methods to data, draw conclusions from data, and make recommendations required 
  • Well versed and experienced in using statistical software (e.g. R, Python, Julia, MATLAB, SAS, STATA) required
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Knowledge of relational databases and programming experience in SQL preferred
  • Experience with R-Shiny and business intelligence applications preferred
  • Thorough proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Must possess strong critical thinking skills required
  • Possess strong data visualization skills, with proven experience in sharing results using clear graphics required
