Develop and execute sales strategies to drive profitable revenue expansion in assigned local market segments.  Responsible for the distribution of the EmblemHealth ASO products to the consultant market and broker community.  Work collaboratively across the organization in achieving revenue and profit goals through new business sales of ASO Medical, Dental and Vision products.  Accountable for delivering the sales goals for the assigned segment, including direct prospecting, working with consultants and brokers in the assigned region, and working in partnership with peers in the fully insured business.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume and profitability growth of EmblemHealth’s ASO products to the consultant market and broker community.
  • Develop and execute a consultation distribution strategy consistent with EmblemHealth’s short/long range goals and business plans; actively engage in the development of the overall distribution strategies for the ASO products.
  • Establish sales objectives and develop competitive strategies for execution within assigned large case market.
  • Develop annual sales plans and execute strategies; monitor productivity to achieve expected sales results.
  • Cultivate and manage a robust pipeline across all lines of business (medical, dental, vision and wellness); develop key internal and external relationships in assigned territory to facilitate results.  
  • Understand and strategize based on analysis and reporting of sales and market trends, including sales plan execution, competitive activity and new product requirements.
  • Work with other EmblemHealth business units to facilitate joint sales opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communications with brokers and consultants through regularly scheduled meetings, correspondence and prospectuses. Represent EmblemHealth at community, civic, and professional events.  
  • Collaborate with the Product Leaders and functional organizations in the development of and enhancement of current products, services and customer offerings to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Responsible for providing direction, expertise and feedback to all sales support staff.
  • Develop prospect sales strategies that will maximize sales and market penetration; provide EmblemHealth with market intelligence in order to capitalize on competitive advantages.
  • Develop comprehensive presentations and facilitate finalist presentations for new business prospects. 
  • Regular attendance, sales training, sales results, and CRM usage are essential function of the job
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing
  • Active life and health license
  • 10+ years of relevant experience required
  • 5 - 8 years' experience selling large group/ jumbo accounts required
  • Consultative selling background and experience required
  • Ability and working knowledge of key Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software to identify, log and develop prospect opportunities required
  • Proficiency selling self-funded business (ASO) and other financial arrangements required
  • Strong working knowledge of group benefit designs, health care delivery systems, underwriting/funding methodologies required
  • Strong organizational, analytical, presentation and negotiation skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, to all types and levels of audiences required
