Support the Video Producer in the conception, production, filming and editing of videos for the EmblemHealth family of companies and their partners (EmblemHealth, AdvantageCare Physicians, ConnectiCare, BronxDocs, and Cityblock): provide support in the production process from storyboarding to production to post-production and final delivery.  Participate in marketing strategy; ideate shoots and projects for promotions, digital, social, interactive installations, including internal messaging from executives, external promotional videos, social media videos, training videos, etc.; assist teams and members across the enterprise to determine the full scope of creative, content, production, editing and cost/benefit decisions for video content or campaigns.  Support the Video Producer on more production intensive video shoots; provide technical support as needed; ensure project progress/completion; and that new videos are produced under the direction of the Creative Director in the absence of the Video Producer.  May be responsible for independently managing full production on simpler shoots, from pre- to post- production; with review from the video producer before sharing with the requestor.  Work with requestors and partners to ensure proper format and final delivery to various platforms (training platforms, social media, YouTube, intranet).

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for supporting the Video Producer in all phases of production: ideating, writing, editing and producing of various length video and audio materials; set up lighting, operate the camera, optimize sound, and create synched string-outs in Premiere.
  • Support projects from concept, storyboarding and video/audio capture, all the way to editing and final output.
  • Provide technical and creative support and input into the process as well as into the finished product.
  • Create videos consisting of motion screen captures, graphics, and text.
  • Support recording voiceovers for video and audio projects.
  • Responsible for studio and equipment management.
  • Edit source material from in-house, stock footage subscriptions and agency contributors, using Adobe Premiere CC and companion applications.
  • On smaller scope/less complex projects, oversee development of fully detailed, timed project plans, status reporting; and coordinate plan execution.
  • Serve as thought partner in the creative process; provide input, ideas, concepts, and practical suggestions; work with other team/department members to determine and provide appropriate solutions for media-based communication and messaging needs.
  • Execute projects in adherence to brand.
  • Support social media team with video content when required.
  • Provide additional support to social media team (technical, creative, administrative, etc.)
  • Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as needed or directed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Video Production, Graphic Design, Communications or a related field
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant, professional work experience required
  • 1 – 2 years of experience editing video required
  • Demonstrable portfolio with video production, editing, and associated work, representing film, editing, and sound work required
  • Knowledge of media technology & production standards; and experience in filming multimedia & video production required
  • Knowledge of Adobe Design Suite (Premiere Pro, After-Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office required
  • Must have experience troubleshooting PC and video equipment required
  • Comfortable working with abstract subject matter required
  • Ability to perform independently and collaboratively, and to take constructive feedback and explore multiple directions required
  • Ability to search for stock footage, B-Roll and other images; and to catalogue digital media, ensuring it is properly labeled, stored, media-managed and archived required
  • Ability to generate ideas, to transform creative ideas into reality, and to produce creative solutions to problems required
  • Excellent planning, organizing, budgeting, and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure required
  • Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, building relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally; and the ability to effectively interact and work well with all levels of staff, including corporate executives required
  • Working knowledge of After Effects required to create animations and motion graphics videos
  • Experience working with a green screen, and with 360 video and sound production preferred
