Community Affairs Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations/Communications or a related field
- 5 – 8+ years’ relevant, professional work experience (R)
- Experience in community-related programming (R)
- Proven community building and event programming experience with a large healthcare company (P)
- Additional years of experience/specialized training may be considered in lieu of educational requirements (R)
- Strong community-facing and business building relationship skills (R)
- Strong team player, leader, self-starter and creative thinker (R)
- Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal, and in presentation) (R)
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal partners and external media (R)
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced environment, including unpredictable hours, with poise (R)
- Able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines (R)
- Passionate about mission-driven brands and community; and an interest in working in health care (R)
- Detail oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills (R)
- Demonstrated project and time-management skills; ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines (R)
- Familiarity with all community engagement tactics as well as an ability to report out results and return on investments (R)
- Familiarity with the NYC market/Westchester/Nassau and Suffolk Counties and demographics (P)
