Responsibilities:

  • Provide key leadership support for critical financial and budget related projects across the enterprise of EmblemHealth and ConnectiCare.

  • Build-out and implement a comprehensive, regular system of reporting and analytical processes for managing operations and implementing the enterprise’s business strategy.

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes; establish targets, create work plans, manage key deliverables, and coordinate with key stakeholders including the executive team.

  • Support internal and external financial and management reporting including actionable variance analysis.

  • Prepare ad-hoc models and analyses to support operational and strategic business decisions.

  • Support cross functional initiatives to drive cost efficiencies and reduce scaling costs.

  • Create and maintain multi-year projections and financial models to facilitate strategic and capital planning.

  • In conjunction with the larger financial team, continuously improve and streamline the financial and management reporting cycle and related operational processes. Strongly advocate for and support data governance rules and process standardization.

  • Actively manage the P&L in partnership with the enterprise executive team.

  • Makes significant contributions towards the enterprise’s short and long term business initiatives which include improving finances, driving profitable growth and meeting budget targets, Medicare & Medicaid ratings, and Net Promoter Score performance.

  • Identifies, hires, & trains team members, developing them into strong leaders and creating high-performing, self-directed teams.  Effectively plans for succession, ensuring a talent pipeline.

  • Acts as change agent to drive and effect organizational change ensuring key deliverables are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred

  • 12 - 15 years of related experience in Finance

  • Certified Public Accountant preferred

  • Experience working for a health insurance carrier preferred

  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent judgment, communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities

  • Possess strong PC skills using Microsoft Office Suite
