Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience managing a customer service environment, within   a healthcare organization, medical office, sales/service, or billing environment preferred.  Telephone customer service experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills required.
  • Demonstrated analytical and collaborative problem solving skills required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedural coding, provider reimbursement, coordination of benefits and all types of medical claims required.
  • Previous system user experience in a highly automated environment required.  Strong PC Skills required.  Knowledge of telephone system technology, especially ACD mechanics preferred.
  • Knowledge of Managed Care and Self-Insured healthcare products highly preferred.
