Description of Duties:
This position is for the top performing Medicare Sales Representative in our industry.  This role will come with a higher quota expectation and will be accompanied by the strongest incentive reward program in the New York marketplace.  Our Medicare Senior Sales Representative position is an opportunity for a goal oriented, service driven individual who has displayed exceptional sales results through self-generated sales activities. This individual will exhibit strong presentation skills and have deep experience in a community based environment to help support the efforts of EmblemHealth’s sales initiatives. We are looking for individuals who are  ranked in the top 10% in Sales of Medicare Advantage products and can meet and or exceed  a higher than standard quota throughout the year.
  • Based upon your territory you will enroll a minimum of 250 -300 Medicare Advantage members on a direct sales basis.  Assist and enroll individuals by completing the appropriate application forms and meeting necessary Medicare Advantage enrollment targets that continuously places you in the Top 10% for New Business Sales throughout the year.
  • Develop self-generated leads from new and existing relationships (community groups, providers, small businesses, centers of influence, and referrals) that you will target throughout your territory.
  • Develop and execute on your marketing plan which focuses on growth of the Medicare products in strategic marketable neighborhoods.  
  • Assist individuals in the selection of appropriate health plan; facilitate new enrollment and the recertification processes where appropriate.  Obtain required documentation necessary for enrollment.  
  • Develop and maintain appropriate understanding of the health care products related to sales responsibility.  Successfully complete periodic certification and testing to maintain knowledge level established by regulations.  
  • Function as a liaison between all EmblemHealth departments to help identify and resolve prospect’s problems or concerns. Resolve issues and obtain information with Community Based Organizations.
  • Travel in the New York metropolitan area.  Must be able to work nights and weekends when needed.
  • Typically rank in the Top 10% of Medicare Advantage Sales on a monthly basis.
  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Works independently and produce Self-Generated leads.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education & Experience:
  • 2 years of college or relevant work experience.
  • A proven track record of success at achieving and surpassing sales goals for Medicare Advantage products.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Medicare sales/sales related community activities. 
  • NYS Health Insurance license required.
  • Driver’s License and automobile with appropriate coverage is required.
  • Ability to input and update data in database system.
  • Bilingual verbal and written ability required.
  • Successful completion of annual product training and testing to maintain regulatory certification.
