Summary:

  • Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, applications, and services to include designing the solutions to support any applications that will consume these services. 
     
  • Collaborate with Development teams and IT Operations to design and implement once process and set of standards that will be used in the Cloud platforms to support all future cloud development activities.
     
  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to ensure scalability and reliability.
     
  • Partner with infrastructure, Information Security, Desktop Engineering and Networking teams to ensure the successful delivery of cloud-based solutions to meet the needs of the business users.
     
  • Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
     
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and incorporate them into the organization's cloud solutions.


Responsibilities: 

  • Implement technical solutions for cloud-based systems, encompassing platforms like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Salesforce, OCI, and additional third-party cloud services.
     
  • Security Integration: Embedding cloud posture and virtual security solutions is a fundamental aspect of this role, ensuring robust protection across cloud environments.
     
  • DevOps Expertise: Proficiency in DevOps practices and principles is essential for this position, integrating software development and IT operations for better efficiency and deployment quality.
     
  • Collaboration with External Teams: Oversee and guide external teams by setting benchmarks and protocols to guarantee that cloud components are established according to industry best practices.
     
  • Standardization and Compliance: Formulate and chronicle mandatory cloud guidelines, ensuring the AWS Control Tower and Azure Landing Zones adhere to these standards and industry best practices.
     
  • Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
     
  • Regulatory Compliance Consultation: Offer expert advice on Security Policies and Procedures to ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory compliance standards.
     
  • Control Verification: Conduct assessments and furnish proof that the established controls are operational and effective.
     
  • Innovation and Security Enhancement: Investigate cutting-edge technologies, products, and methodologies with the aim of integrating them to bolster the existing system’s security.
     
  • Security Optimization Proposals: Deliver strategic advice for the enhancement of the current security measures.
     
  • Knowledge Management and Collaboration: Preserve expert-level understanding of operating system and mobile device security. Collaborate intimately with Desktop Engineering Teams to confirm the proper utilization of cloud tools for the management of end-user devices.

 Requirements:

·       Bachelor's Degree required; additional experience/certification/training may be considered in lieu of degree requirement

·       Cloud and Security Certifications required

·       8 – 10+ years of IT systems engineering experience, including 5 years working with infrastructure technologies required

·       5 + years’ IT security experience at the enterprise level in a medium to large size company (500+ employees) required

·       Extensive experience in cloud computing, including the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, applications, and services required

·       5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Cloud Solutions or equivalent required

·       Expertise in security of operating systems, mobile devices, advanced technology products, systems, IT forensic analysis required

·       Experience with scripting with cloud tools, AWS and Azure CLI and Infrastructure as Code tools required

·       Ability to create comprehensive reports by using currently implemented tools and/or custom solutions required
