We are seeking dynamic "Top Sales Representatives" to join our Medicare Sales Team! The Account Executive, Medicare Sales will establish and maintain productive, informative, and proactive relationships with appropriate individuals and groups. They will be responsible for generating & maintaining leads by contacting Medicare-eligible individuals (current and prospective), including by telephone, writing, and in person. Also, the role requires the sales representatives to make individual and group presentations. Provide appropriate assistance to prospects, for example, by assisting in the membership application process. Develop and maintain a proper understanding of the health care products related to sales responsibility.


  • Achieve the Medicare DSNP membership goals set forth in the annual business plan by successfully enrolling a minimum of 200 qualified beneficiaries each year into ConnectiCare’s Dual Special Needs Plan plan turning referrals into prospects, prospects into leads, leads into appointments and appointments into enrollments.
  • Adhere to ConnectiCare policies and procedures of sales prospecting and presentation in accordance with Center of Medicare Sservices compliance guidelines. Coordinate and conduct marketing events with approved materials in an effort to market ConnectiCare’s Dual Special Needs Plan and Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plans.
  • Use creative sales techniques to find and develop relationships with eligible centers of influence, referral sources and beneficiaries.
  • Establish community relationship programs with key centers of influence that become a consistent source of referrals.
  • Become a resource for the community and a trusted expert in the Medicaid/Medicare health care space so ConnectiCare is seen as a partner and a help for this population.
  • Develop self-generated lead channel through existing relationships (community groups, physician offices, community health centers, grocery stores, church clubs, senior centers, centers of influence, and current and prospective members) and the establishment of new ones throughout your assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute on your marketing plan which focuses on strategic growth of ConnectiCare’s portfolio of Medicaid/Medicare products in targeted neighborhoods and areas of the community where resources and support are great.
  • Assist individual beneficiaries in the selection of an appropriate health plan; confirm eligibility, facilitate their new enrollment and subsequent renewal when appropriate. 
  • Successfully complete periodic certification and testing to maintain knowledge level established by ConnectiCare’s Medicare Sales & Compliance Departments.
  • Function as a liaison between all ConnectiCare departments to help identify and resolve members’ problems or concerns. Resolve issues and keep lines of communication open between ConnectiCare and our members.
  • Observe and report competitive information, suggestions and strategies to Medicare Sales, Product, and Marketing business leaders.
  • Maintain a professional positive image, work to enhance sales skills, remain honest and respectful in dealing with any external and internal customers.
  • Work as a participating member of the larger ConnectiCare Medicare Sales team, attend and participate in sales team meetings, as well as, ride alongs and training opportunities.
  • Performs other related projects and duties as necessary.


  • Bachelor’s Degree; additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
  • 2 years of previous Sales experience; healthcare industry plus
  • Must possess a valid and appropriate state accident and health license at time of hire or within the first 60 days in the position
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Low Income Subsidy, Medicare Savings Programs, Center of Medicare Sales regulations and other government entitlement products and programs
  • A goal oriented, service driven individual who has displayed exceptional sales results through self-generated sales activities and has proven top tiered sales results in previous positions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, exercising good judgement, tact and the ability to properly inform potential members regarding ConnectiCare’s Medicaid/Medicare portfolio
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Experience with sales lead management system preferred
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings including the office, remotely and from home depending upon the situation
