Drives further refinements to the Enterprise Strategic Planning process, Annual Operating Plan and Three Year Strategic Plan refresh.  Leads rollout of streamlined enterprise Management Processes in partnership with Finance. Develops and manages enterprise Competitive Intelligence insights, tools and communication to key stakeholders across the enterprise.  Leads Market Tiering/Addressable Market work to augment business cases for new product investments and sales targeting.  Optimizes non-traditional strategic alliances and existing solutions. Continually monitors current solutions for effectiveness and value capture.


  • Partner with Senior Management to develop and document formal Enterprise Strategic Plan (3 Year View) and Annual Operating Plans.
  • Interface with Functional and Business leaders to ensure function and business segment level strategies and tactics are directly aligned with Enterprise plans.  Provide direction and input as needed to leaders.
  • Lead planning with each functional area to ensure each segment has a consistent approach to developing and managing their respective Strategic and Operating Plans.
  • Oversee the progress against plans and consolidate into Enterprise level updates; Drive improvements as needed for areas lagging in expected progression against goals.
  • Develop and oversee Management Processes to ensure consistent and timely functional and business level updates to leadership team.
  • Establish Monthly Operating Results and Quarterly Business Review process to include consistent reporting mechanisms and meetings. This will provide a forum and communication channel for senior management input to reinforce desired behaviors and actives or to provide course-correction as needed.
  • Develop and regularly maintain SWOT analyses for each of the Commercial and Specialty lines across enterprise.
  • Design enhanced approach for enterprise Competitive Intelligence gathering, maintenance and distribution.
  • Establish approach and begin research to quantify Addressable Market by LOB and Local Market Geographies.
  • Lead initial and ongoing assessment of Products, Solutions and Networks across Enterprise and make recommendations for streamlining and optimization.
  • Interface with key partners daily – Actuarial, Underwriting, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Communications, Underwriting, Network, Clinical, Segment Leadership, Sales/Distribution, Customer Service, Operations, IT/CTS etc. to ensure ongoing communication and alignment on interdependencies, awareness, and effectiveness.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, HealthCare Administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred or Designation (FSA, ASA, CPA)
  • 10+ years of experience, preferably in a health care environment required
  • Strong project leadership, communication and organizational skills required
  • Healthcare or Product Experience across range of products and segments required
  • Financial experience; Finance, Actuarial or Underwriting knowledge required
  • People management experience required
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills required
