Summary of Job

Provide a bridge between analytics and strategic client engagement and EmblemHealth’s largest and most complex account: the City of New York. Provide insight and guidance in the decision-making process.  Grounded in data and insight generation, serve as a client-facing, strategic planning partner that supports the SVP and AVPs in shaping the City of New York product portfolio.  Prepare and present performance narratives for monthly City meetings, partner with Finance, Network, Medical Management, and Product teams, and ensure insights drive both operational excellence and strategic growth.

Responsibilities  

  • Research and utilize appropriate metrics and analytics to track performance and identify/predict potential issues that could impede EmblemHealth’s ability to deliver outstanding results.   
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Partner with Finance and Analytics to track financial performance, utilization trends, and cost drivers. 
  • Collaborate with Network, Medical Management, and Product teams to synthesize clinical, operational, and strategic insights. 
  • Serve as an analytical advisor to AVPs, ensuring alignment between data insights and business objectives across product strategy, client engagement, and partnership governance. 
  • Translate complex data into clear recommendations for AVPs, supporting portfolio planning, performance improvement, and monthly City of New York meetings. 
  • Prepare and deliver data narratives and performance summaries for monthly City of NY meetings, demonstrating executive presence and client-facing communication skills. 
  • Ensure that presentations are clear, concise, and complete – and provide actionable information to all stakeholders. 
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the account and recommend strategic actions.  
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, data science, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • 10 – 12+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, reporting, or strategy  (Required)
  • Knowledge of healthcare environment, products, and processes  (Required)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and SQL or similar tools  (Required)
  • Experience in client-facing roles with demonstrated executive presence  (Required) 
  • Ability to communicate data-driven insights to senior stakeholders and external partners  (Required)
  • Background in payer analytics or public sector healthcare  (Preferred)
  • Strategic planning experience and ability to partner with product teams  (Required)
  • Enthusiasm for engaging with AI solutions (e.g., Co-Pilot) to enhance and expedite all deliverables  (Required)
