Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications

  • BA/BS in Math, Statistics Computer Science, Actuarial Science or related discipline
  • Professional certifications in the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, AI, Healthcare analysis, and other related disciplines, preferred


Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 10 – 12 years relevant professional experience in positions of increasing responsibility
  • 5+ years’ experience in building and maintaining enterprise-level analytics and business intelligence solutions
  • Strong experience in performing provider and specialty vendor analytics, membership analytics, and financial analytics
  • Extensive experience in using/managing large amounts of disparate data within a healthcare payer
  • Strong health care payer domain knowledge
  • Experience deploying advanced analytics at a healthcare payer
  • Expertise using statistical tools and programming packages (KNIME, R, Python, SAS Enterprise Miner)
  • Experience using and managing enterprise BI Tools (Tableau, Business Objects) and integrating analytical solutions into traditional BI tools
  • Knowledge of Big data technologies and ML toolsets
  • Excellent leadership and collaborative skills; ability to partner with upper management on projects and garner executive sponsorship; and to collaborate with analytical colleagues in Medical economics, Actuarial, and Finance
  • Staff development and management experience within an analytics shop
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
