Provides actuarial services in support of Large Group HMO (LG HMO) and State Sponsored (SSP) business.

  • Assists in the preparation and submission of the HIP LG HMO prior approval rate filing to the Department of Financial Services.
  • Supports the system loading of HIP LG HMO premium rates, enabling both existing groups to renew and new groups to be quoted.
  • Aids in the development and analysis of various recurring management reports, examining the current claims trends, membership demographics, and financial variances for LG HMO and SSP.
  • Provides support for quarterly MMCOR statutory reporting.
  • Tracks performance of Medicaid risk scores and quality incentive bonus program.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
  • Matriculated in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mathematics or Actuarial Science; Advanced degrees a plus
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Minimum of 1 Society of Actuary Exams
