2025 Summer Associate Program

EmblemHealth is one of the nation’s largest not for profit health insurers, serving members across New York’s diverse communities with a full range of commercial and government-sponsored health plans for employers, individuals, and families. Our Summer Associate Program allows students to collaborate with senior leaders who are committed to growing, developing, and empowering the next generation of healthcare leaders.  All summer associates will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally on projects within a group setting with one another.

 

The special projects will be designed by the business groups and will have the opportunity to participate in the following career development activities:

 

  • Business Learning/Networking Series
  • Learning & Development Sessions
  • Luncheon with Senior Leader
  • Final Project Presentations

We are offering opportunities across the following business groups:

 

  • Clinical Administration
  • Compliance

Program Details

  • Nine-week paid program: Monday, June 2 - Friday, August 8
  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Hourly rate: $30 per hour
  • Required Hybrid Work Schedule: In office two days a week

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, and an interest in the healthcare industry
  • Rising undergraduate juniors/seniors, and/or 1st-year graduate students
  • Required to come to the 55 Water Street, NY office minimum twice a week
  • Must be able to travel to across the NYC Tristate area as needed
  • Analytical, collaborative, strong communication, and project management skills

Pay Disclosure

A good faith estimate of the compensation range for individuals hired to work for the EmblemHealth Family of Companies is provided. This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business considerations. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the work is being performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. Union roles covered by a collective bargaining agreement will compensate in accordance with the union contract.
